This week I sat down and made a personal schedule for myself. My life can get so crazy so fast and it’s important for me to schedule in time for myself. Otherwise I find myself overworking and forgetting about my own well-being.
I like to do my scheduling at the beginning of every month. Even though I keep an agenda all year round, it’s rare that I schedule in me time. I always try to include time for date nights with Joel, friend meet ups, but also dates with just me. It can be really tough to find time to just be on your own sometimes! But having moments to reflect and to truly feel comfortable in my own skin can really make me feel rejuvenated and refreshed!
When I set time for myself it gives me something to look forward to as well as making me see a light at the end of the busy tunnel! Don’t get me wrong, I like being busy, but sometimes it’s nice to sit back and relax with a good book and a foot bath 😉
I try to give myself space every week at some point without any obligation to be anywhere. Even if it is only for an hour, it helps so much!
In case you are wondering: Bedding from West Elm; Throw from West Elm (sold out but similar here West Elm), Pillow from Hudson’s Bay; Jacket from Anthropologie (now on sale!), Socks from Anthropologie (also on sale!)
