Local Eats: DaDeO’s

April 11, 2016

The other day we were running around doing errands and naturally we got hungry. We decided to go to Whyte Ave and check out DaDeO’s. It was my first time in and my first time trying New Orleans style cuisine! The atmosphere is very cool. It looks like an old fashioned diner and there are tonnes of mismatched signs and pictures on the walls. Neither of us had tried jambalaya before so we ordered the steak jambalaya to split as well as an order of sweet potato fries. My goodness the fries were good! They were so tasty I can’t even describe it! I’d like to make some sweet potato fries at home, I feel like an addiction is in the making! The jambalaya was good too. I wasn’t so fond of the steak part, but the rice and veggies were delicious.
If you haven’t been to DaDeO’s I would recommend it. I hear their crab cakes are very good if you are the seafood type! The menu is a bit higher priced and no minors are allowed so bring your ID if you are like me and will forever look under age 😉
