I love travelling and seeing cities and high rises and cabs and people. But when I am surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city 24/7 it gets to be a bit too much. I was excited to go sit in Central Park one day. We had one day of beautiful weather so we decided to take advantage of it! It was nice to grab some breakfast and just sit and enjoy all the green. It amazes me that once you are in the middle of the park you don’t even feel like there is cities surrounding you at every side. We picked up bagels for breakfast and headed to the park. The bagels were SO GOOD! We both had an everything bagel (my favourite) with scallion cream cheese. It was delicious. I just have to ignore that one bagel is insanely dense and just enjoy the luxury. After we ate we wandered through the park and came across the cutest natural wooden gazebo on top of a hill. Neither of us had seen it before on our travels but it was such a beautiful lookout point!
If you have read my blog for a while you know I love macarons (they are probably my favourite dessert) so I knew I had to check out Laduree to pick up some to try. It was such a cute little shop and they had the most adorable little tarts and cakes. I LOVED the strawberry one you see in the picture below. I didn’t try it unfortunately but it was so cute!! The macarons were delicious and the atmosphere is so cute! I felt very much like I was in Paris.
We wandered around the upper east side for a while before heading to Times Square. It is so crazy to me how one city can feel so different from one place to the next when there is only 5 minutes of walking distance between them. I love it!!!
Also in case you are wandering my dress is from here! (I bought in stores)
