New York feels like it happened a long time ago but at the same time feels like I was just there! These past 2 weeks have just FLOWN by! I cannot believe that in three days I will be on a plane jetting off again!
New York is such a magical place. The energy of the city is just so high. I’ve lived in big cities before but nothing really compares. I was only there for a few days but we managed to get in a lot! Highlights of my trip were definitely the all the tulips, Coney Island, and the Broadway shows. This time around we saw “The Crucible” starring Saoirse Ronan, “Tuck Everlasting” and “Fun Home”. I have to say all three were great. My favourite was probably “Fun Home”. I felt like both the script and the acting were just so raw and honest. The story was so simple but so effective and it was such a perfect dose of comedy and tragedy. “The Crucible” also made me feel all sorts of things. The play itself just touched into an anger I didn’t know I had. (If you haven’t read it, I suggest you do!). We managed to find great places to eat and cool shops to explore and just all around had an awesome time. I even got to meet up with a friend that did my program with me in Scotland! It’s so nice to have friends all over the world. All in all our time in New York was amazing. We ate (A LOT….as you will see in the video) of amazing food, saw amazing shows, and got to wander through the amazing diversity the city has to offer. We will for sure be back again soon. I’ve seen other people make videos of trips they have done and I asked Joel before we went to New York if we could do a video of our trip to remember it by. I have to say, it was so worth it! Looking back on it I feel like I was re-living the moments. We will for sure be doing this on all our trips from now on! Here is our little video! Let us know what you think 🙂
