Anthro-inspired Christmas Decorations

December 23, 2016

Christmas is almost here!!! I can’t even believe it! My days have been so filled I haven’t had a moment to relax, and just as I am about to, the kitten starts climbing the Christmas tree, or eating Christmas cookies, or opening presents haha. I’m so happy Posie grew out of that, and hopefully next year Pip will too. I am in LOVE with all things Anthropologie. I could live in that store if I was allowed. I wish I could decorate my whole tree in their ornaments but unfortunately that would break my Christmas budget. I decided I would try and make my own this year! I was going to do a DIY but I don’t feel proficient enough yet to know what I am doing as I didn’t follow any other DIY I kind of just invented them myself. The skate decoration I saw a picture of and tried to replicate so that one wasn’t too hard! The wool-roving however…different story. I broke a couple needles and had to buy replacements but bought the wrong ones.. it’s a whole ordeal. I do love how they turned out though! I will definitely be making more of these next year, and hopefully have a DIY to go along with it! I’ll post some pictures below of the ones I did make!
I hope tomorrow morning brings on more holiday spirit! This serious lack of snow has been hard! I really wanted to do all things December like skate, and toboggan and ski but it just hasn’t happened! I am going away for a bit after Christmas to the mountains so hopefully I will get to do those things! I volunteered a lot more this year than in the past and I feel much more Christmassy about that. It is always such a joy to make others happy, I don’t know why I don’t do it more often! I hope you all have a very very very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Lots of love to you all!

We made a Christmas fort last night and watched Christmas movies!
