These past few weeks have been so dry and my attempts to make myself look more put-together with lipstick are failing because my lips are so dry! No matter how much I apply lip balm, my lipstick keeps chapping my lips. I have been wanting to make a lip scrub for a while and I finally got around to it! The nice thing is, it is so easy, and you probably already have the ingredients in your pantry! Let’s just cut to the chase and get in to the DIY so you can start wearing those bold lips again!
What You Need:
2 1/2 tbsp of sugar (give or take, depending how sugar-y you want it)
1 tbsp of coconut oil
1 tsp honey
2-3 drops peppermint extract (you can also you peppermint oil, just make sure its safe on your skin – I didn’t have any on hand)
Little containers (I used my old David’s Tea advent calendar containers)
1. First mix honey and coconut oil until it because smooth.
2. Add in sugar a bit at a time and mix.
3. Add in extract/oil and mix again.
4. Put in containers and voila!
To Apply: Simply put some on your finger and rub into the lips, you can leave it for 30 seconds or so, then wipe away and apply lip balm if necessary!
