First of all I have to say that I drove all around Scotland and Ireland without crashing us! Driving on the opposite side of the room and car was terrifying for the first few hours, but I eventually got the hang of it. The craziest part are the TINY roads in Scotland where the speed limit is 60 miles an hour for a 1 lane road with oncoming traffic (uh..no thanks) I was such a grandma and drove half that speed because I was so terrified. Driving around (once your used to it) is really beautiful though! We when to Glencoe and saw the munros which was amazing. The air smelled so fresh, I’ll never forget it. We also stopped in Fort William (where some of Outlander is filmed…the best show!) My favourite part of driving around was hitting up Eilean Donan Castle. It is so picturesque and just is perfect for photos I swear. Walking around it is amazing. I wish I lived in a castle… despite the crazy wars, and the lack of electricity, and scarcity of food, I think living in the 1700’s would have been pretty beautiful (lol). It is so neat to see all the history and wonder where my relatives lived in Scotland. Here are some pictures from our drive. It was amazing!
